Lets get Wales signing for St David’s Day!
We're thrilled that you will be helping us give our local children (ages 2-16) the opportunity to celebrate St Davids Day, despite the current climate,
What is Cymru'n Canu?
Here at JR HQ we're passionate about performance & the Welsh language and St David's day has traditionally allowed our amazing children to tip toe into this breathtaking world with huge choirs, singing, traditional wear and vey much more.
This year, however, celebrations will be limited, so we wanted to give our regions children a platform to sing together (virtually)!
How does it work?
We've joined forces with the wonderful Hoosh Arabi who shares our passion, and together we will be piecing together 'Calon Lan' using clips sent in by you! We're asking for you to record your child singing the full song, pop it to us, and then we will edit a short clip from the video, joining it together with other clips, to make a full song.
For consistency of tempo and key its essential that everyone follows the same track - here it is:

What should they wear? We hope for this to be a fun experience, so Traditional Welsh costume, Rugby jersey or anything red or Wales' themed - crazy daffodil masks or leek hats all welcome!
